Email New Mass Email Domains and Servers
The design of the current footprint of email domains and servers at the University can occasionally lead to issues where messages are blocked when a system sends a high volume of email. New servers and domains are being created to ensure the uconn.edu domain does not get blocked in these scenarios.

Email Email Assignment Standardization
The processes by which different populations recieve email at UConn will be re-evaluated and thoroughly documented to include their expected behavior and timelines. Allowed exceptions will be identified and supported in specific and managable ways.

M365 Data Loss Prevention
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provides functionality to ensure that University data is kept secure as it traverses Email, SharePoint, and other online and physical storage mechanisms.
Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, and other features will be rolling out as tags that can be added to documents or SharePoint sites to ensure documents are not shared or removed without approval.

M365 Storage Quotas
After changes by Microsoft, the University's Microsoft 365 tenant is currently consuming more storage than is alloted. We are currently in a grace period, however will need to reduce our storage footprint to ensure no interruptions in service.
Quotas will be communicated and deployed to employees and students for mailboxes and SharePoint/OneDrive
