The OneDrive for Business sync app, available with UConn’s subscription to Office 365, lets you synchronize your OneDrive for Business library to your local computer. Once synchronized, you can access your files in File Explore (or Windows Explorer) when you are offline. Any changes you make to files while working offline on your local computer will be synchronized automatically with your OneDrive for Business library when you are online.
To sync OneDrive for Business:
- Login to Office 365
- Select OneDrive at the top of the page
- Click Sync.
If you’re syncing an Office 365 OneDrive for Business library, your synchronized files appear in the OneDrive – University of Connecticut folder.
There are some limits on syncing OneDrive for Business and site libraries that you should be aware of:
- You can sync up to 20,000 items in your OneDrive for Business library, including folders and files.
- You can sync up to 5,000 items in site libraries, including folders and files.
- In any library, you can download files up to 2 GB.
